Borders Launch
Event description
Independent creatives and arts organisations from along the Murray River are collaborating on a creative enquiry into the people and place of the Murray River.
We invite creatives with an interest in responding to the social, creative and natural ecologies of the Murray River regions to attend the launch of Borders.
There will be a panel conversation with the Borders creative team including:
- Rachel Kendrigan- Creative Producer
- Linda Luke- Workshop Facilitator
- Peter Fraser- Workshop facilitator
- Vic McEwan- Project Mentor
- Mark Grist- Cultural Advisor & archaeologist
- Craig Dunne- Ecologist

In addition, there will be an opportunity to meet the hosting partners from across four communities:
- Mildura- Arts Mildura
- Swan Hill Region- ACRE Project
- Echuca/Moama- The Bridge Art Project
- Albury/Wodonga – Murray Arts
There will be opportunities to participate in the Borders project over the next 2 years including in person workshops in four hosting communities, and an online community of practice. Artists and creatives, researchers, ecologists, anthropologists, writers, dancers and anyone looking to foster a deeper connection to people and place, please come along to find out more.
