The Mary Valley Film Society will be showing the film “Chocolat” starring Juliette Binoche, Judy Dench and Johnny Depp. Based on a novel by Joanne Harris and directed by Lasse Helstrom.

Once upon a time there was a small village in France where the lives of many local people were changed after a mysterious woman opened the Chocolaterie Maya during Lent. She created delicious chocolates using secret family recipes. Then chose the chocolates which best suited the customers’ needs with some unexpected results.
