Families Webinar - Simplifying FASD Reports with AI
Description
FASD assessment reports contain important information – but they can be long, technical, and hard to use in everyday life.
This one-hour webinar for parents and carers will demonstrate how AI tools such as ChatGPT can help you:
Understand your child’s FASD assessment and use it to advocate for their needs
Demystify complex reports and recommendations
Create quick, practical summaries for NDIS, school, and family members
You’ll see real-life demonstrations using de-identified material, along with tips for safe, ethical, and family-friendly use. The session will conclude with a Q&A.
Who should attend?
Parents, carers, kinship carers, and anyone supporting a child or young person with FASD.
Presenter:
Prue Walker – Senior Social Worker and FASD Consultant. Prue has many years of clinical experience in diagnostic services and works closely with families to interpret assessment findings and turn reports into practical supports for school, NDIS, and everyday life. She was directly involved in the development of the new Australian FASD Guidelines.
Prue will be joined by special guest Robyn Smith from NOFASD Australia, who will provide a family perspective and give feedback on the accuracy and usefulness of the AI-generated responses.
Please join us online for this interactive live webinar. If you can’t make it on the day, don’t worry — the session will be recorded and a link will be emailed to everyone who registers.
