Freedom Summer 2.0 Dallas

TWO DAYS. ONE MOVEMENT.

Freedom Summer is a statewide homecoming bringing Texans together to organize, build, and win. Drawing on the legacy of the 1964 Freedom Summer, we're creating space for Black liberation, community power, and joyful action.

This September, Freedom Summer lands in Dallas for two nights that build on each other:

Friday is a celebration — an R&B night with live music, good people, and good energy, ending the summer the way it should: together.

Saturday is a training — hands-on tools for organizing, advocacy, and civic power, so everyone in the room leaves ready to act.

We’re closing out Freedom Summer 2.0 in Dallas with an R&B night featuring incredible local and national artists, live music, and a room full of people who care about our community.

Come kick back, get connected, and enjoy the night with us. And as we head toward the elections in November, we’ll make sure everyone in the room has what they need to be ready to vote and make their voice heard.

🔥 SATURDAY | COMMUNITY CONNECTION + TRAINING

A power-filled day of practical training for everyday people, faith leaders, organizers, young people, and community members ready to turn concern into action. Participants will gain practical tools to advocate for their communities, organize people, communicate effectively, prepare for emergencies, engage voters, and build the collective power needed for November—and beyond.

Training includes:
