    About Amy Kapernick

Amy is a business owner, senior developer, mentor and international conference speaker. She has a passion for sharing knowledge with the community with a focus on nurturing the next generation of developers. This has led to her organising and volunteering at events, running technical workshops, and writing and producing her own video content. She also regularly presents and keynotes at events all over the world, informing and entertaining audiences from a variety of industries and backgrounds.

A familiar face in the developer community Amy volunteers her time with several groups, including DDD Perth as Vice Chair and Director of Conference Content, Perth Azure User Group as one of the organising team and She Codes as a regular mentor. These contributions are not unnoticed, as she’s been recognised as a Microsoft MVP and a Twilio Champion since 2019 for her contributions to the tech community and ongoing commitment to helping those around her.

    About Jo Minney

Jo Minney is a small business founder and technical communicator based (for now) in Perth, Western Australia. She is passionate about user experience, data-driven decision making, cats and travel – not necessarily in that order. She’s also an avid maker, from 3D printing to sewing to woodworking, and loves combining technology and creativity to make cool stuff and encouraging others to do the same.

By day, you’ll find Jo working with organisations such as Women in Technology WA, the Architect’s Board of Western Australia and the Town of Victoria Park, helping them to create bespoke digital platforms through her business, House Digital. You might also find her donating her time via the Mission Digital program to help tackle social issues (such as gender inequality, domestic violence and global poverty) through the use of technology.

Jo is an ambassador, sponsor and lead mentor for She Codes Australia, a social enterprise that aims to make tech jobs more accessible for women. Recognised as the 2023 Shining Star in the category of Advocacy, Volunteering and Community by Women in Technology WA, Jo is also an accomplished international conference speaker, and can regularly be found with a microphone in hand speaking about information architecture, accessibility, user experience, imposter syndrome, closing the gender gap and pockets.
