Connected Leadership, in partnership with the team at Alberts, are proud to bring together four visionary CEOs for a powerful conversation on shaping the future of tamariki in Aotearoa.

As leaders in organisations dedicated to child and family wellbeing, they are rethinking traditional approaches and pioneering new ways to create meaningful impact.

This is not just a discussion about what needs to change. It’s about what’s already happening—and where we go next.

Our speakers represent both the long-standing legacy of child and family support in Aotearoa and new, innovative approaches making an impact today.

Fiona Kingsford – CEO, Whānau Āwhina Plunket - One of Aotearoa’s oldest organisations dedicated to child and family wellbeing
Sarah Manley – CEO, Mitey/Sir John Kirwan Foundation - Leading mental health education through a fresh, curriculum-embedded model
Izzy Horrocks – CEO, Aotearoa Lifecourse Fund - A new model for long-term investment in child wellbeing and equity
Huia Hanlen – CEO, Brainwave Trust Aotearoa - Championing evidence-based education to support child development and whānau wellbeing since 1998
Chaired by Maikara Ropata, Kaiako, Connected Leadership and Sue Watson, Director of Connected Leadership.

As leaders in our community, we know the importance of bold thinking and fresh perspectives in driving meaningful change. In this conversation, we’ll explore:

How these organisations are framing the challenges facing children, young people and their families in today’s world
The innovative approaches they’ve developed—and what’s working
How Te Ao Māori and cultural capability shape their mahi
What the future looks like when systems are redesigned around the wellbeing of children in Aotearoa

Following the conversation, we invite you to stay for light refreshments and drinks, generously hosted by Alberts.

This will be an engaging, thought-provoking conversation with plenty of opportunity for discussion. Whether you work in the social impact space, support child and family wellbeing, or are interested in how new ideas can shape lasting change, we’d love for you to be part of it.
