__________________________________________________________________________________
Tabula Rasa is an independent music and camping festival set on the lands of the Gunditjmara, Tjap Wurrung and Bunganditj People. The festival hosts Australian and international DJs known to rapture dancers with rolling basslines, tumbling beats, breaks, and a smattering of lofty vocals. Tie it all together under the iconic waft of the gum trees and we have the makings of something special.Â
We’re a small team putting on the party that we wanted to attend over NYE. But Tabula Rasa is written by you: the festival goers, performers, creatives, contractors, and volunteers keen to ring in the new year with dust between your toes.  A festival is more than the music and performances. It takes a village to get this thing off the ground and individualism doesn’t fuel a good time. We do that together. Tabula Rasa is yours, our habitat. A gathering far greater than its musical parts. Let’s grow something special.Â

Our theme.
In 2022 we’re noodling our minds around ecosystems and all they represent. These bubbles of life are as fragile as they are foundational. Where plants, animals, organisms, weather, and landscapes intersect and feed each other to create more of life itself. Every factor depends on and affects every other factor. Codependency is nothing to avoid here because individualism leads to ecocide.
Since ecosystems dictate our lives, then it follows that this Tabula Rasa of ours is also yours. A festival is more than the music and performances. It takes a village to get this thing off the ground.
Tabula Rasa’s ecosystem is built on the full spectrum of people contributing to this gathering: the designers, installation artists, security, food vendors, production teams, performers, council members, land, weather systems, and punters, of course.Â
What we all add, is what it will be. Tabula Rasa is yours, our habitat. A gathering far greater than its musical parts. Let’s grow something special.
