Discover original art. Bid on something exceptional. Make a difference

Art lovers, collectors and community champions are invited to a special Opening Night, with first access to the Rangiora Art Society Spring Exhibition featuring more than 700 original artworks - alongside a specially donated collection being auctioned to raise funds for Big Brothers Big Sisters of North Canterbury.

At the centre of this year's fundraising auction is an original circa-1995 ceramic sculpture by renowned Canterbury sculptor, the late Llew Summers.

Also among the contributing artists are Dan Summers, Pat White, Angela Laby, Susan Lily Ferguson, Graham Williams and Sharon Soderberg-White, with many more represented on the night.

FIRST LOOK. FIRST PICK.

Opening Night guests will have the first opportunity to explore the exhibition and purchase works before it opens to the public for the weekend.

From established artists to emerging local talent, expect an impressive mix of paintings, sculpture, mixed media, textiles and more - with works across a wide range of styles and price points.

THE BIG ART AUCTION

A specially selected collection of artworks has been generously donated for our live and silent fundraising auctions, giving you the chance to take home something special while supporting local young people.

Nathan Gilbert of Harcourts Four Seasons Realty will take the gavel for the live auction, with more donated works available through the silent auction.

Every winning bid on donated auction art supports Big Brothers Big Sisters of North Canterbury and helps provide professionally supported, one-to-one mentoring for local children.

Last year's inaugural BIG Art Auction raised an incredible $16,000 for local youth mentoring. This year, we're aiming even higher.

MAKE A NIGHT OF IT

Your $40 Opening Night ticket includes:

• Exclusive Opening Night access

• First opportunity to browse and purchase from the exhibition

• Live and silent fundraising auctions

• Complimentary drink and delicious canapés

• Live music

• Licensed bar and raffles

• A special exhibition created by local young people and their mentors

Come with friends. Enjoy a drink. Explore the exhibition. Discover an artist you haven't encountered before - or bid on a name you already know.

ART WITH AN EXTRA PURPOSE

The artworks in the live and silent auctions have been specifically donated to raise funds for Big Brothers Big Sisters of North Canterbury.

The wider Rangiora Art Society Spring Exhibition is separate from the fundraiser. Exhibition artworks are available to purchase on Opening Night, with those sales supporting the individual exhibiting artists.

Come for the art. Find something you love. Help change a young life.
