"This unique museum exists to preserve and promote the history of Macksville and its district. Mary Boulton's Pioneer Cottage is a replica of an early settler’s home with furnishings appropriate to the era. An outside shed displays a buggy, ploughs, and farming tools and implements. Other displays include a replica bark hut, a portable jail, dairy shed, portraits, apparel, household goods, and research documents. Suitable for all ages. The museum is set-in award-winning gardens with shaded areas suitable for a picnic, just opposite the Nambucca River. Bus tours and groups are welcome. Wedding bookings by arrangement."

Unkya Cultural Eco Tours
We join in the Gaagal Yuludarla (Ocean Dreaming) Tour. A 1.5 hr walk around Scott’s Head Headland & Junay Gaagal (Little Beach). Sink your toes in the sand, gaze at the Gaagal (Ocean) as the waves roll in whilst being inspired by our Aboriginal Guides telling you the creation story of how the Gaagal (Ocean) was made & the first wave being created.

Pickups will commence by 09:50. Our tour and morning tea at Mary Boulton’s Cottage is at 10:00. Your retail therapy part of begins around 11:20. Lunch is at 12:00. Our tour is from 13:45 to around 14:30. Drop-offs should commence around 15:30.
