10 Principles of Fair Trade Bible Study Series: Session 6: How do we care for the environment?
Event description
The Fair Trade Association of Australia and New Zealand (FTAANZ) supports Fair Trade Faith Groups as part of our Communities program.
The guiding principles of the Fair Trade movement worldwide are the 10 Principles of Fair Trade, developed by the World Fair Trade Organisation. The Fair Trade Association of Australia and New Zealand has developed a series of Bible Studies relating to each of these 10 Principles.
This online event is the last in a series of six Bible Study sessions, facilitated by the Fair Trade Association, for followers of Jesus Christ to learn more about the Fair Trade movement and how these 10 Principles link with biblical truths and values.
This session will look at the question: "How do we care for the environment?" in the context of Principle 10.
BIBLE LESSON 10
PRINCIPLE 10: RESPECT FOR THE ENVIRONMENT
Organisations which produce Fair Trade products maximise the use of raw
materials from sustainably managed sources in their ranges, buying locally when
possible. They use production technologies that seek to reduce energy
consumption and where possible use renewable energy technologies that
minimise greenhouse gas emissions.
