Denim Painting Workshop
Event description
(For young people aged 13 to 17 years)
Learn to upcycle your old, worn denim using hand-painting techniques! This workshop is hosted by Savannah from Second Spark Studios, a local clothing line dedicated to giving second-hand gear new life with unique, one-of-a-kind designs.
During the session you will learn all about the processes that go into creating each of our pieces, and the importance of reducing landfill wastage caused by the fashion industry. Next, you will paint the custom design of your dreams onto your denim clothing of choice, with guidance and support throughout the session.
Important: Please bring an old denim clothing item of your choice to paint, such as a jacket, overalls or jeans. Avoid thin 'denim-style' cotton shirts.
This activity is strictly for young people aged 13 to 17 years. Please do not book younger children as places are limited and this is a school holiday event.
You do not have to book for adults accompanying children. The event is free, but bookings are essential.
Please let us know if you have any accessibility requirements.
Please remember to cancel your booking if you are unable to attend once you have registered so the place can be offered to someone else to enjoy.
