14th July Guest Presenter Kim Hodges

Our 14th July monthly meeting will be guest presenter Kim Hodges, author of three books - Girl on the Edgeis about growing up in a small town with a population of 900. Girl over the Edgeis about her lived experience of mental illness and most recently Girl on the Ward has just been released and is also about mental health.  She will take us on her personal journey about the mental health system, her diagnosis and understanding of the system and the way mental health patients are treated.

I have read Kim's first two books and will purchase her current book.  She writes with passion about her lived experiences and has certainly been through a lot and has shown her resilience throughout her prolonged experiences.
