Event description

Samantha McKaige: www.samanthamckaige.com

"Samantha McKaige is a guitar playing, Americana singing, folk loving songwriter from Seattle. She takes inspiration from the woods and peaks of the Pacific Northwest, the beaches of Northern California, and the rivers of the Rockies. Samantha's journeys and heartaches have inspired her lyrics, and her eclectic sound reflects her musical influences.

Samantha pursued songwriting at Berklee College of Music in Boston, where she has released her debut Album, Bury Me Please in the Puget Sound, a three part alt-folk EP called "After You Left Me", and a heartbreaking single called "The Love That I Give". Her music has been featured in Spotify’s Fresh Finds playlist, and has amassed over 200,000 streams. Samantha’s recent EP, How We Outgrow, is a genre-bending collection of songs that touch on the complicated push and pull of growing up.

Taking pride in the DIY elements of an independent musician, Samantha books all of her own shows and tours, having played over 100 gigs around the United States. Samantha has shared the stage with artists such as Hunter Hayes, Ezra Bell, Ethan Tasch, The Brazen Youth, and Lucy Wainwright Roche and Suzzy Roche, at historic and esteemed venues such as Brighton Music Hall in Boston, the Tractor Tavern in Seattle, and Hotel Cafe in Los Angeles. She recently made her festival debut during the 2024 season at Faster Horses. She performs solo or with a full band of talented musicians, rounding out her sound with electric and steel guitar, banjo, mandolin, fiddle, trumpet, keyboard, backing vocals, and drums. Paired with her originals, Samantha also performs uniquely arranged covers of her favorite musicians, such as Caamp, The Hotelier, Rainbow Kitten Surprise, Brandi Carlile, Gregory Alan Isakov, Hot Mulligan, and The Highwomen." - Artist Bio
