12 Rules for Happier Holidays.
Event description
Dr Denise Quinlan will share tried and tested tips for surviving the holidays with your relationships, sanity, and dignity intact.
Based in wellbeing science and anchored in over a decade of seeing what works for thousands of people - these are strategies created by Denise and colleague Lucy Hone for New Zealand Institute of Wellbeing & Resilience (NZIWR).
You’ll learn why saying No is your best friend, why real is better than perfect, how to practice the ’noticer pause’ and how that can save relationships, and why it’s better to be kind than right. We’ll discuss strategies to maintain a sense of perspective when you might be losing yours, and be reminded that every family has challenges over the holidays - it’s just that those moments seldom make it to Instagram!! Come and share a laugh about how crazy this time of year can be and set yourself some goals to make this year a more enjoyable and less stressful time.
