Cleaning with Chemistry
Event description
(For adults)
Have you ever stood in front of the aisle for cleaning products and wondered which one should you buy?
You end up buying different products that are harmful to the environment in fancy plastic bottles which adds up in your weekly budget.
Routine cleaning should not have to be that confusing and expensive and, if you know the chemistry behind cleaning, you can make your own products at home that are cheap and kind to the environment.
You can prepare these cleaning products from materials found in your garden or kitchen cupboards. No really! You will be surprised how much you can save while creating a healthier home.
This Cleaning with Chemistry workshop will equip you with a basic understanding of household science and a spray bottle full of natural alternatives to toxic and expensive cleaners.
Plus, you’ll make your own citrus cleaner to take home! (Please bring along a jar to put the citrus cleaner in.)
Bookings are essential for this free event. Places are limited.
Please let us know if you have any accessibility requirements.
Light refreshments will be available. You are encouraged to bring your own keep-cup for tea/coffee or water.
Please remember to cancel your booking via Humanitix or by contacting the library if you are unable to attend on the day. The place/s can then be released for someone else to enjoy.
