1283 – ‘Rainy Morning’ Single Launch

1283 are an alternative rock trio blending New Wave guitar lines with bluesy grit and roaring, Bonham-inspired drumming. Fresh from the studio with a forthcoming 9-track album, they’ll give Melbourne a first taste with the live debut of their brand-new single, Rainy Morning.

After dropping their debut EP Death and Destruction in 2017, the band took time apart but never lost their creative spark. In the meantime, Dan and Leo honed their voices through solo projects (indie-favourite Jarrow, 130), while drummer Lucky took the stage at Coachella and Glastonbury, now bringing that world-class thunder back home to 1283. With fresh material and renewed energy, the band returns heavier and funkier than ever.

To celebrate, 1283 are heading back to their old stomping ground, Mamma Chen’s in the heart of Footscray, joined by special guests Arbes and Mid-Evening. Expect a night of ethereal dream-pop, smooth jazz-funk, and electrifying rock from some of the West’s most iconic acts.

Mamma Chen’s acknowledges the Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung and the Bunurong peoples of the Kulin Nation, the true owners of the land that we live and operate on. We would like to pay our respects to their Elders past and present and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
