14s Next Gen Program 2025

Event description

The Next Gen Program (NGP) is aimed at finding the next generation of athletes that could one day represent Queensland. The program will also expose young athletes to a high performance environment, and provide a taste of what to expect if they progress along the High Performance pathway in the future. It will provide a development opportunity with on-court and off-court sessions that will help improve the athletes holistically.

The 14s Next Gen Pass is eligible for any U14 athlete that competes in U14 rep competitions in 2025 in Divisions 1-4 (SQJBC, CQJBC, NQJBC). The pass allows you to attend as many of the camps across Queensland as you like, gives athletes access to BQ wellness app iNSPiRETEK, access to all Next Gen Hub sessions, 14's Next Gen T shirt, and parent workshops. BQ also uses 14's Next Gen as part of talent ID for FDP.

Each camp will consist of 2 sessions, as per the details below:

Check in: Athletes should arrive 30 minutes before their scheduled session start times for check in

Breaks: There will not be supervision for kids during the breaks in sessions. There will be staff in the building but no specific people supervising the kids during the break.

What to Bring:

  • Association reversible singlet
  • Basketball
  • Water bottle
  • Snacks or any food/personal items needed for the day

Next Gen Hub Sessions

Next Gen Hub sessions are an extra series of sessions that focus on the same skills and learnings that are covered at Next Gen Camps. Four Next Gen Hub sessions will be hosted in the south in the second half of Term 1 2025, while North and Central athletes will have access to multiple Hub sessions as well. Dates and times of these sessions are below.
