16 Days of Activism 2024 Kick-off
Event description
The 16 Days of Activism is the annual global campaign to galvanise action against gender- based violence. Each year across Victoria and around the world, communities mobilise and draw on their own strengths to stand up for Respect and a world free from violence.Â
This webinar will be the first opportunity for organisations looking to participate in this year’s campaign to come together and hear about what the 16 Days will look like in Victoria, and how they can get involved.Â
Participants will hear from Respect Victoria and Safe and Equal about the 2024 Grassroots Campaign, share lessons from 2023 including tips for engagement with social media, and let you know about supports available, and how to connect with other organisations leading up to the 16 Days of Activism. Â
We will also be facilitating a panel of three organisations who ran successful campaigns in 2023, highlighting the challenges they faced, and key learnings including managing resistance during their campaigns. You will have the opportunity to ask questions and hear what these organisations are planning for 2024.Â
