16 LIVE: Mile High Hits

Inspired by Denver's vibrant music community, 16 LIVE brings together iconic Colorado DJs, artists, and dancers to celebrate and amplify Denver's creative culture. Each "Live" night is themed around a friendly DJ Battle.

This six-date series on Glenarm Plaza at 16th St. will feature high-energy DJ performances, community dance instruction, silent disco dance battles, and crowd-driven competitions - all under the "Quaking Gold" Skynet art installation.

This is your chance to get together, get downtown, and get moving. Don't miss it!

Event Details

Date: Thursday, August 27th (see additional dates and themes below)

Time: 5-9pm

• 5 PM: Amplified DJ set, emceed by Monica the Great

• 6 PM: Dance activity with the Denver Shufflers! Plus, special appearances by ROCKY and the Denver Nuggets Dancers!

• 7 PM: Silent Disco DJ Battle between PawS and Squizzy Taylor

Official DJ of The Denver Nuggets. Austin "PawS" Pawelka is a 28 year old Denver Native who has quickly gained a reputation as one of the most entertaining and explosive artists to watch and a hometown Denver favorite. He follows in the footsteps of the legendary and pioneering Denver DJ, DJ Tribal Touch. His career continues to progress, and works to develop as a producer with a passion that doesn't quit and a work ethic that refuses to stop. Bursting onto the scene at the age of 17 he carried Residencies at almost every nightclub in Denver, since preforming on show lineups with names like: Tiesto, Zedd, The Chainsmokers, Steve Aoki, and many more. The last few years have already shown him and his team what hard work and dedication can do, Austin's energy speaks for itself and his stage presence is unparalleled, Help us and show your support for the #BEPAWSITIVE movement.

Mychal Bellamy, professionally known as DJ Squizzy Taylor, is one of Denver’s most influential cultural figures—bridging music, sports, nightlife, and community impact into one unified brand.

A Denver native, Squizzy has built a reputation as the soundtrack of the city, with a career spanning over a decade across nightlife, radio, touring, and large-scale event production. Today, he stands at the intersection of entertainment and sports as the Official DJ of the Denver Broncos, performing at Empower Field at Mile High in front of over 70,000 fans and millions of viewers each season.

Now entering his fourth season with the organization, Squizzy plays a critical role in shaping the in-game experience—working in real time to energize crowds, engage fans across all demographics, and enhance one of the NFL’s most iconic game-day environments.

Monica the Great will join as MC for the evening. Monica The Great is a first generation Mexican artist and songwriter. California born and bred, Denver based artist whose breakout single generated 225,000 streams 35, 000 new followers, earning her the spot as Denver Westword's 2026 artist to watch, and a partnership deal with United Masters. Monica creates music meant to make you feel every emotion deeply with grace y con un poco de sazón.

And there will be interactive dance instruction from the DENVER SHUFFLERS from 6-7pm! Plus, special appearances by ROCKY and the Denver Nuggets Dancers!

• October 1 - Cowboys vs. Aliens: Boots and Bass Collide in a Country v EDM DJ Battle.

• October 15 - ¡Dale, Disco! A Reggaeton & Disco Dance Party.
