Travel instructions

Street parking is available on Albert Street (Fitzroy garden side), Gisborne Street and in select areas along Victoria Parade. The limit varies between 1 to 4 hours. You will need to download the Easy Park app on your phone to start and stop the meter for street parking. The code to enter will be on the nearest sign to your parking bay. Special note: Please read street signs carefully when parking your car in the street, clearways are strictly enforced. Victoria Parade and Albert Street are subject to Clearway Tow Away Zones. If arriving by taxi or Uber, there is space to pull up on Morrison Place, outside the main hospital entrance. Train: Parliament Station. The hospital is located near Parliament Station. Exit via Lonsdale/Nicholson Street and walk up Albert Street towards the hospital. The walk is approximately 10 minutes. Tram: 11, 12, 30, 109. If travelling by you will need to get off at stop 12, St Vincent’s Plaza. This is located on Victoria Parade, so you will need to cross the street toward the hospital where you can enter via the main entrance on Morrison Place. Bus: 302, 304, 305, 309, 318, 350, 905, 906, 907, 908. By Car If you are driving, there is a Wilson’s car park located at 410 Albert Street, which also has an entrance at 160 Victoria Parade which is just before the traffic lights and hospital. The car park only has one exit, so if you enter through the Victoria Parade entrance, please bear in mind you will need to exit via the Albert Street exit. To get to the hospital from the car park take the lifts to the ground floor. There is a door located next to the car park entrance that opens onto Albert Street. From here turn right and walk to the corner of the next street which will be Morrison Place. Turn right into Morrison Place and walk to the end of the cul-de-sac where you will find the main entrance to the hospital.

Entry instructions

There are two entrances to the hospital however only the main entrance will be open after 5pm. The main entrance is on Morrison Place. The best place to be dropped off in a car or travel service would be Morrison Place. Facing the hospital on Morrison Place, there are four steps leading up to the entrance, or the ramp on the right-hand side. The stairs have handrails on both sides, and the ramp has a handrail on the left-hand side. Enter the hospital through the glass sliding doors at the top. Please note that the Gisborne Street entrance will be locked after 5pm, so entering and exiting the hospital will be through the main entrance on Morrison Place

After entry instructions

When you pass through the main doors, you will be offered the choice to go left or right. Please head left and proceed towards reception. You will pass through another sliding glass door into an atrium area, and you will see the café directly ahead. When you near the café area turn right towards the elevators. Staff will be located at the entrance and at the elevator area to assist guests as needed. There is a button near each elevator which allows you to choose up or down. Press the upward arrow and once inside, select level 4. When you come out of the elevators on level 4, a staff member will greet you and orientate you to the space. The reception area will be the side where the doors are open. There is a cloak room available. The reception area is carpeted. The path from the reception to the Auditorium room is also carpeted. The Auditorium is on the left as you enter the reception area.

Toilet location

There are toilets located in the elevator lobby on level 4. When exiting the lifts, rather than heading through the open doors into the reception area, turn the other way and you will find both male and female bathrooms. A second set of toilets is located at the rear of the reception area. Head toward the back of the room and turn left. Along the left side is the corridor to the toilets. Please ask a staff member for assistance in locating the toilets from any location.
