How your LGA can become a Compassionate City
Event description
Compassionate Cities are internationally recognised and centered around the Compassionate City Charter, which includes 13 steps that cities, towns or villages may take to publicly recognise those who are dying, caregiving or grieving and to make their locality a supportive and open place for these processes to take place in.
This session is relevant to LGAs: Mayors, Councillors, CEOs, Managers, Community Development Staff and other relevant council staff. FREE for SA Council Staff.
Tea and Coffee will be provided for in-person attendees. Certificate of Attendance will be provided to all attendees. A recording of the session will be provided to registered participants only.
A presentation and discussion with Dr Julian Abel for LGA staff across South Australia. Dr Julian Abel is the Director of Compassionate Communities UK author, podcaster and a retired palliative care physician. He has worked with Councils worldwide to implement Compassionate Cities. Visiting Australia for one week only
