Description

Join us for a special film screening of 1946: The Mistranslation That Shifted Culture!

This revolutionary documentary chronicles how the misuse of a single word changed the course of modern history — tracing how a mistranslation in the Bible has cast doubt on any biblical basis for LGBTQIA+ prejudice. Challenging, enlightening, and inspiring, it’s a film that asks us to look deeper at faith, history, and love.

The Agape Table is partnering with Emmaus Church to bring this powerful film to our community as part of South Carolina Pride Week. We hope you will join us!

October 11th at 4PM | Emmaus Church

Film Screening (92 minutes) | Panel Discussion (20 minutes)

Light Refreshments | Community Connections

Tickets for this event are "pay what you wish." All proceeds go to The Agape Table to cover costs of this event, and to continue offering meaningful programming across the state. Additional donations are deeply appreciated!

This is a safe space and all are welcome - just show up as your authentic self! Following the screening, be sure to stick around for a brief panel discussion with local faith leaders and academics.
