2x2 An Exhibition by Blok Modular x Vokes and Peters

For one day, Blok are converting their modular factory into a gallery space to invite you to: 2x2 An Exhibition by Blok Modular x Vokes and Peters. 

The project showcases a compact, affordable modular home set for delivery to Magnetic Island the week following the exhibition, where it will be delivered and installed in one day.

Blok's director and principal architect, Daniel Burnett, will be holding presentations on the day at 12 pm and 2 pm. 

This exhibition is the second in the series from collab team Blok x Vokes and Peters. Our first exhibition in July 2024 was a great success, welcoming clients, architects and industry partners into our modular factory. The first exhibition was featured in Architecture AU and will be printed in the upcoming March edition of Habitus magazine. 

The Blok x V&P collab have been working together since 2017, producing over 70 different prototype modular house designs. These projects explore the relationship between modular construction as a future procurement model and an architecture that responds to a societal shift toward more agile housing - one that better enables shared tenure models, multi-generational living, short-term accommodation, and aging in place.  

In 2024 the team won an AIA NSW State Award - Residential (Houses) New for Blok Belongil and were shortlisted for the 2024 Houses Awards for Blok Peregian. In 2023 the team won a Houses Award - New House under 200 sqm, an AIA QLD State Award - Residential (Houses) New and was shortlisted for the Robin Boyd Award in the AIA National Architecture Awards for their modular house in Stafford Heights.
