Agenda: 

1. Paying respect to the Traditional Custodians of the land.

2. President's and Chair MSC's welcome messages.

4. Meeting Focus:
Youth Justice Programmes- a presentation by Riny Kenyang and Sajid Chaudhery

Riny Kenyang, Community Engagement Officer South East Metro Region: This is a critical senior role within the Youth Justice program, targeted to children, young people and families involved with Youth Justice, who are of African Australian cultural background. The role supports culturally competent practice and service engagement, service system navigation and access, and includes a broad range of stakeholder relationships. Riny will provide a more in-depth overview.

Sajid Chaudhery, Multicultural Practitioner South East Metro Region: This role supports the interface between Youth Justice Community Services and Multicultural and Multifaith communities to strengthen cultural practice in case management and improve client outcomes. These communities may include communities from various African, Pasifika, Middle Eastern, Burmese, and Asian backgrounds. The role will also engage with community members and organisations to provide linkages to relevant cultural support programs and assist with fostering a strong partnership with CALD communities.
