Workshop Overview:
Join me, for an exciting 2-day workshop that focuses on expressive portrait and figure life drawing. Throughout the workshop, you’ll learn innovative techniques, create dynamic compositions, and work with different media to bring your drawings to life.

Day 1: Expressive Portraits and Life Drawing with Innovative Techniques
Start with demonstration on portrait and full body guidelines and proportions.
Draw expressive portraits and figurative artworks from a live model
Focus on hands, facial proportions, and expressive mark-making.
Learn techniques like ink washes and quick gestural marks.
Receive personalized feedback to build confidence in your approach.
Day 2: Full Figure Life Drawing & Mixed Media Exploration
Begin with a demonstration on gestural drawing and figure proportions.
Focus on drawing dynamic poses and using mixed media.
Work with materials like ink, watercolour, pastels, and charcoal to create larger-scale figurative artworks.
Focus on gesture and dynamic compositions, bringing figures to life.
Final group critique to reflect on your growth and progress.

A1 Cartridge Paper (A1 paper for sale at venue _ $1 a sheet.
Optional: High-quality full-sheet Mixed Media or Watercolour Paper (300gsm or heavier, smooth surface)
Willow and Compressed Charcoal
Graphite Pencils (2B to 8B)
Optional: A handful of Coloured Pencils
Ink & Brushes:
Chinese Drawing Brush
Coloured inks
Other Essentials:
Bulldog Clips to attach paper to drawing board
Portable Palette
Blue Painters Tape
