For 20 years, MurriMatters has created spaces for people to be together, challenge the status quo and change the conversation.

This special gathering is an opportunity to celebrate that journey, honour the people and relationships that have shaped the work over the years, and to reconnect with those who have experienced the impact of Engoori® along the way.

It is also a moment to look forward.

As MurriMatters enters its next chapter as Yimburu Consulting, we are inviting you to celebrate the legacy, acknowledge where we are today and vision our future path together. What better way to celebrate than with our friends, clients, partners, colleagues and community.

Across the gathering, we will explore three connected perspectives led by:

Honouring the past
Dr David Spillman will reflect on 20 years of MurriMatters and the foundations of the work, Country and relationships that have shaped the journey.

Actioning the present
Scott Gorringe OAM will provoke where we are today — the strengths, challenges and opportunities of our current time, and how we can collaborate to create meaningful change together.

Visioning the future
Jakarra Hill will explore the pathways of Yimburu and new program opportunities as we look towards the future — imagining what is possible when we move forward together with courage, connection and purpose.

This gathering marks the beginning of a series of legacy celebrations across the next 12 months, with events in Canberra and Melbourne before Christmas, followed by Brisbane in early 2027.
