"2001: A Dystopian Rhapsody" - Double D & The Dark Horse - Tiny Room Concert

Event description

Journey with us to an alternate timeline where the Y2K bug unleashed unprecedented chaos...

In this grim reimagining of our world, through the music of the time, our society grapples with the aftermath of widespread technological failures, economic collapse, and the rise of powerful crime syndicates.

As civilization unravels, we struggle to survive amidst regular brownouts, scarce resources, and a shadowy underworld dictating the new order.

Amidst this backdrop we find ourselves at the Blue Door, a notorious underground dive and learn of the ecstacy and tragedy of the figures who frequent this haven for the criminal elite.

Let us take you to a world where the dawn of a new millenium became a descent into an anarchic dystopia of grunge and gangsters.

“2001: A Dystopian Rhapsody” features unplugged renderings of the music of: Stone Temple Pilots, Fiona Apple, Mad Season, Portishead, Soundgarden, Natalie Merchant, Nick Cave, Massive Attack, Jeff Buckley & Elizabeth Fraser with alternate arrangements and a dash of folk & funk.

Double-D & The Darkhorse is: Dez Hibberd: Vocals/Acoustic Guitar, Dini La Gosse: Vocals, Tiago Garcia: Bass, John Gualter: Soprano & Baritone Saxophone, Leon Falconer: Drums/Percussion.

(Peaky Blinders/Prohibition/Grunge type attire strongly encouraged for all guests...)
