Event description

The seminar talk will be delivered by Mr. Partap Singh Bajwa who is currently serving as the Leader of the Opposition in the Punjab Legislative Assembly, a key position in one of India’s most prominent states.

 

He has been elected to the Punjab Legislative Assembly on four occasions. Over the years, he has held several important ministerial roles in the Punjab government:

 

-              Minister of State for Information and Public Relations (1994–1995)

-              Cabinet Minister for Public Works Department (Buildings & Roads) and Information & Public Relations (1995–1996)

-              Cabinet Minister for Judiciary and Jails (1996–1997)

-              Cabinet Minister for Public Works Department (Buildings & Roads) and School Education (2002–2007)

 

In addition to his state-level contributions, Mr. Bajwa also served two terms as a Member of Parliament in the Lok Sabha (India’s lower house of Parliament).
