2021 NSW Environmental Education Awards
We are very excited to be celebrating the wonderful contributions of many community members to Environmental Education in NSW. This year has been a particular challenge for many of us, and we feel for this reason it is even more important to acknowledge the triumphs and achievements in our field.
We had an amazing array of talent presented in the nominations this year, and so the judging has been as difficult as ever. We look forward to you joining us to announce the winners and highly commended nominations for 2021.
About the 2021 Awards
At this Awards Night we will be celebrating our:
* Gould League Scholarship Winner
* Grahame Collier Regional Mentor Scholarship Winner
and the award winners under the following categories:
1. The 2021 Excellence in Environmental Education Awards
The Environmental Educator Excellence Awards recognise individual educators from a range of sectors who have exhibited leadership and made notable achievements in their sector to further environmental education.
- Community Educator of the Year Award
- Government Educator of the Year Award
- Tertiary Educator of the Year Award
- Sustainable Schools NSW Teacher of the Year Award
2. The 2021 Program Excellence Award
* Sustainable Schools NSW School of the Year Award
Recognises a school that has shown excellence in embedding sustainability within their school and in the broader community in line with the values of Sustainable Schools NSW. Note: the Sustainable Schools NSW program has been focussed on Primary and High Schools and therefore only these may apply. We hope to support an early learning program award in the future.
3. The 2021 Business Excellence Award
* Sustainability Connect Business of the Year Award
The Sustainability Connect Business of the Year Award recognises a business that has excelled in ambition and/or delivery of their environmental products and services. Businesses must be listed on the Sustainability Connect directory website to be eligible. Note: this year's award is for the business sector, therefore government-funded programs are not eligible.
