Event description

Join us for a fun and festive morning in December featuring Luke McGregor in conversation with Jane Longhurst.

Luke McGregor is a writer, actor, and one of Australia’s favourite comedians.

Luke’s comedy career began in Tasmania in 2007 when he entered the RAW Comedy competition after one of the contestants didn’t show up. The following year he was selected as a RAW Comedy national finalist.

In 2013 Luke’s first solo Melbourne International Comedy Festival Show played to sold-out rooms and won the prestigious Best Newcomer Award. Luke took his new show to the 2014 Sydney Comedy Festival and was again awarded Best Newcomer. He then went on to perform his debut season at the renown Edinburgh Festival – the largest arts festival in the world. Transitioning to the screen, he has had regular roles on Utopia and Legally Brown.

Luke is the co-creator of the smash-hit sitcom Rosehaven with Celia Pacquola, for which Luke won Most Popular Actor at the 2019 TV Week Logie Awards. The fifth and final season of Rosehaven aired on ABC this year.

Our Big December Breakfast is the ideal way to herald the arrival of Christmas with festive entertainment, a delicious hot breakfast, fun fundraising activities and listening to the story of a Tassie comic legend.
