    Event description

The Science Department is inviting expressions of interest in an optional five-day camp to Coral Bay in June 2022, designed to support students undertaking the Marine Studies course.

Coral Bay is a marine lovers' paradise, with a huge array of aquatic wildlife and coral gardens, just metres from the shoreline. This makes it an ideal biodiversity hotspot to explore and survey. The educational benefits of attending this camp include:

    • Providing additional practical examples of principles learned in marine science and biology.
    • Students learning directly from working marine biologists and environmentalists in their fields of expertise.
    • Development of essential water-based skills linked to the Marine and Maritime Studies course in Year 11 and 12.

The students will be staying in the Ningaloo Adventure Campsite in Coral Bay, which caters primarily for school groups.

If you would like to confirm your child's participation in this camp, a non-refundable deposit of $400 is required by Friday 3 December 2021.
