- The 5th mark of mission in the Anglican church is
“to strive to safeguard the integrity of creation
and sustain and renew the life of the earth” - We talk about many aspects of sustainable living including Community, Biodiversity, Gardening for Food, Permaculture Principles, Healthy Home and Healthy You Transport, and Simple Living, as well as
reducing Waste of Resources, Water, and Energy.
Waste Less, Save more, Live more Simply, Live better.
- Plan to attend all the sessions. Community grows as we learn together, and inspires practical changes to
nurture a healthier environment and a healthier you. - We video our presentations. You can watch each session again and access other resource materials in a password protected space on our website.
- We ask that only fully vaccinated people who are well attend the course in person. If you are unwell, please stay home. We will comply with the Covid 19 requirements current for each session .
You will finish this course with a fresh awareness of sustainability issues, and practical strategies to help you to make a difference
About the Videos:
We want the course to be accessible to all participants at each session, and to re-view afterwards.
Participants are only visible if they put themselves in front of the camera.
We think it is reasonable to expect people to take responsibility for
their own location in the room with respect to the cameras.
Footage of activities will focus most on what our hands are doing.
If you want to opt out of being seen in the videos:
1. Answer the opt out question when you register.
2. Sit at the table marked as out of camera view.
3. Bring a hat and wear it. You will leave your table and move around the room for some activities. When we review the footage, and we see a person wearing a hat, we will edit out that part of the vision before we upload the video.
*We edit videos before uploading and remove as many extraneous
inputs as possible while ensuring the content from the presentation is
still audible.
*We upload our videos to Youtube in an unsearchable space. This means that only those with the link (which we will send in each
midweek email to participants) have access to view it.
*Only the presenters and registered participants will be able to access the York 2022 password protected section of our website (www.rummage.id.au) where course materials and videos are uploaded for each session, and will remain accessible until space limits on our website force us to take down old things to make room for new ones.
