2023 Frog Census Training

Spring is around the corner and so is the annual FrogTober, the month of our local FrogCensus in the ACT and region. 

If you wish to participate in the FrogCensus, before heading out to collect data and record frog calls, it is vital to attend one of our three training events. You will learn all about when, how, where and why of FrogWatching. 

No previous knowledge required. Just rug up, bring your favourite torch and wear sturdy shoes.

Each event runs from 18:00 to 20:00 and includes some theory, spiked with plenty of fun frog facts, and ID practice during a walk to a nearby frog habitat.

Please pick one session to attend (note the different meeting locations):

• Tuesday 26th September 2023 @ Jerrabomberra Wetlands Offices, 2 Dairy Road, Fyshwick (hot drinks and nibbles provided)

• Wednesday 27th September 2023 @ Jerrabomberra Wetlands Offices, 2 Dairy Road, Fyshwick (hot drinks and nibbles provided)

• Friday 29th September 2023 @ Wildbark at Mulligans Flat Woodland Sanctuary, Rosenberg Street, Throsby (hot drinks and nibbles provided, but why not come early and check out the Wildbark Kitchen beforehand?).
