Explore the future of songwriting with JMC Academy. 

JMC Academy is excited to invite you to RE:Write, an annual 2 day songwriting conference being held at the JMC Academy Campus on Boon Wurrung/Bunurong land in Naarm, South Melbourne.

RE:Write is the premiere songwriting event for songwriters in Australia. This event will enable you to explore and reimagine how you and your work might fit into the industry of songwriting and how you can tap into the range of creative tech and other methodologies to uniquely shape and suit your craft. 

With facilitation and presentation by the incredible Jen Cloher alongside Nina Las Vegas,  DRMNGNOW,  James O’Brien from Darling James, Angeline and Joshua from Telenova, Zii Nziraand Hazel Gordon,  you’ll have access to a breadth of expertise.

Packed with specialised masterclasses, panels, and interactive discussions - plus live performances by some of Melbourne's best up and coming songwriting talent - this event will give you a backstage pass into the minds of some of the most influential voices within the industry.

Supported by Music Victoria, APRA/AMCOS and The City of Port Phillip, RE:Write is the perfect place for both aspiring and established songwriters to talk about their craft, get advice regarding their career, and hear from other leading industry professionals.

Friday 5:00 pm - 9:00 pm 

Saturday 10:30 am - 6:30 pm 

Cost: 

$60 General Admission. The ticket includes the masterclasses, live music, light lunch, refreshments, and networking drinks. This event is 16+, if under 16 years, must be accompanied by a responsible RE:Write ticket holding adult.
