ELIGIBLITY
You are eligible to attend the Graduation Ceremony if you are currently studying or have recently completed a Certificate III, Certificate IV, Diploma, Dual Diploma or Advanced Diploma. To be eligible, you must have either already achieved your chosen qualification by 2024 or be on track to complete it by the end of this year.
Please contact your teacher and confirm eligibility with them, prior to purchasing tickets.
If in doubt, register!
If you have not completed your qualification in time to graduate, your application will be withdrawn, you will be refunded in full and you will then need to apply to graduate at the next ceremony.
If you register as a graduate, you will be participating in the on-stage ceremony, which includes wearing a gown and walking across the stage to receive your certificate.
If you register as a guest, you will not be participating in the on-stage ceremony.

GUESTS
Friends and family are welcome to attend graduation ceremonies, however due to venue capacity restrictions everyone, including children, must have a ticket. Each graduate is allowed to purchase a maximum of 4 guest tickets. Although we work hard to make ceremonies as welcoming and inclusive as possible, their nature and duration may make them unsuitable for babies and young children.

CAPS, GOWNS AND STOLES
All students are required to wear a cap, a gown and a stole if they are participating in the graduation ceremony. On your Humanitix application to graduate, please specify your gown size (gown sizes are determined based on your height, not your regular clothing size).
On the day of the event, you will need to collect your cap, gown and stole at the venue an hour before the ceremony commences. Please remember that gowns, caps and stoles must be returned after the ceremony or a charge will occur.
You may keep the tassel of your cap as a souvenir.

ATTIRE
Your graduation should be a day to remember! So the most important rule is to be comfortable and have fun.
A good rule of thumb for an appropriate outfit is something you would normally wear to work or in a business setting. In addition, tailored, well-fitting tops, dresses and skirts are ideal, however length should be considered as you'll be up on the stage. Your outfit should be smart, neat, and polished. Think smart-casual or professional, and you will be on the right track. As you will be wearing your gown over your outfit for a few hours, we recommend removing jackets. We suggest wearing your hair down to ensure your cap fits properly. Please consider appropriate footwear. You will be required to stand for longer periods of time and walk up and down several steep stairs.

RECEIVING YOUR QUALIFICATION
At the graduation ceremony, you will receive a Certificate of Achievement on stage. Your formal qualification will be posted to you within 30 days of completing your course. Please ensure that your postal address in our system is current. To check, pleases contact your teacher or the Customer Experience team on 1300 308 233 (extension 5) or via email info.north@tafeqld.edu.au.

SPECIAL NEEDS
If you or any of your guests have any special requirements, for example disability assistance or seating with a space for prams, please let us know as soon as possible by emailing Graduations.North@tafeqld.edu.au. You may be asked to arrive earlier so that we can accommodate your request.

TRAVEL
If travel is required for you to attend the graduation ceremony, please note this will be at your own expense.
***
