2024 FIRST Lego League Challenge Burnie Regional
Event description
Join us for the 2024 FIRST Lego League Challenge Burnie Regional!
Get ready to witness the excitement and innovation of young minds as they tackle real-world challenges in the fields of science, technology, engineering and maths. The FIRST Lego League Burnie Regional is a high-energy event where primary and secondary school teams showcase their creativity, problem-solving skills, and teamwork as they present their research projects and compete in robot games with Lego robots that they have designed, built and programmed themselves.
Hosted by GreenSTEM Education, Tasmania's leading and proudly Burnie-based STEM education charity, this event marks FIRST Lego League's debut event in Burnie, following 2023's successful FLL Somerset Regional. Beyond just a competition, it’s a chance for families, schools and community members to experience how STEM education can empower our next generation of thinkers and change-makers.
This year's theme, "SUBMERGED" challenges teams to make a real-world impact, sparking new ways to approach environmental conservation, community building and technological solutions relating to ocean exploration. Come along to support local youth and discover the incredible work these students have created. Enjoy interactive displays, meet inspiring mentors and experience the energy that only a live FLL competition can bring!
