Melanoma Institute Australia is pleased to invite you to our educational breakfast for Skin Cancer Doctors and GPs with an interest in skin cancer medicine.

Hear from our multidisciplinary experts as we discuss the alignment of skin cancer care between primary and specialist services that will ultimately elevate your practice and patient care.

PRESENTATIONS:*

  • Challenging melanoma diagnoses – Dr Christoph Sinz (Dermatologist)
  • Provision of surgical services by GPs and other specialists in skin cancer management - A/Prof Alexander van Akkooi (Surgical Oncologist)
  • The role of the GP in appropriate medical imaging in melanoma – Dr Kevin London (Nuclear Medicine Specialist)
  • Advances in diagnostic technology - Prof Pascale Guitera (Dermatologist)
  • Skin cancer follow up care and the importance of shared care – A/Prof Robyn Saw (General Surgeon)
  • Understanding the increasing role of immunotherapy in melanoma: What GPs should know about complications and managing side effects – A/Prof Alexander Menzies (Medical Oncologist)

The breakfast session will also include several engaging case study discussions led by our hosts A/Prof Sydney Ch’ng (Plastic and Head & Neck Surgeon) and A/Prof Paul Fishburn (Skin Cancer GP).


Date: Saturday 24 February 2024. 8:30am to 12:30pm (Note: Breakfast will be served at 8:30am with presentations commencing at 9am sharp)

CPD: This is an RACGP-approved CPD activity under the RACGP CPD Program (Activity No. 674729; 1.5 hr EA and 1.5 hr RP). It is also approved through ACRRM (ID: 32157),
A certificate of attendance will also be provided for 3 hours of CPD.

Parking: Complimentary onsite parking will be available. Enter via Rocklands Rd.
