This year’s theme will be Creating World Class Experiences and will feature engaging keynote speakers, spearheaded by Darrell Wade, Co-founder and Chair of Intrepid Travel. A highly regarded entrepreneur and sustainability advocate, Darrell co-founded Intrepid in the late 1980s as a new way for people to explore the world that was immersive, sustainable and gave back to the communities they were visiting. Importantly, Darrell was WTTC (World Travel and Tourism Council) Vice-Chair for 10 years (2013-2023) and Sustainability Chair for 3 years (2020-2023).
Joining Darrell will be a host of compelling speakers, an interactive format, and updates on Destination North Coast's activities along with those of Destination NSW and Tourism Australia will be provided.
The Symposium will start at 8.30am sharp and close at 4.15pm on Thursday 1 August 2024 and will be held at The Glasshouse, Port Macquarie.
In the evening after the symposium, Destination North Coast, in partnership with Business NSW are pleased to announce the return of the North Coast Tourism Awards.
The 2024 North Coast Tourism Awards recognises growth, entrepreneurship and celebrates tourism businesses success across the North Coast Destination Network region.
Dress to impress – this gala event will take place at Sails Port Macquarie by Rydges.
The Awards Ceremony and Gala Dinner commences at 6.00pm until late.
