2024 Oxley Bush Market
Oxley Shire Hall
oxley, australia
Event description
Thank you for your interest in having a stall at our Bush Market in 2024. Please read the information below carefully before completing your application.
GENERAL INFORMATION
- All goods must be home-grown, hand-made, home-produced, upcycled or new items and must be of a high quality. No second hand or used items are permitted.
- The Committee is keen to ensure the widest possible variety of goods on sale and we may choose not to have multiple stalls selling the same product type.
- We are a small community and proudly support the producers in our local area. The Committee will prioritise local producers where we have multiple applications for similar product types from different areas.
- Please reduce your use of plastic bags and aim to use minimal or recyclable packaging for goods.
- Please bring a copy of your Public Liability Insurance with you to the market.
- All food businesses must be registered with the Rural City of Wangaratta and comply with existing food laws. If you are a mobile food business, you will also need to lodge a Statement of Trade at least 5 days before the market through the Food Trader website. Please contact Council on 5722 0888 or visit their website for more information.
- No dogs are permitted at the Market, except Guide dogs.
- For the health of our market patrons smoking is strongly discouraged within the Hall grounds.
STALL SITES
- Stall positions will be allocated by the organising committee and cannot be altered on the day to accommodate last minute requests.
- You may request a stall inside the hall. Stalls inside the hall may be irregular in shape. A limited number of inside stalls are available and they are allocated according to the suitability of the product.
- A plan of the stall layout will be available from 6.30am on the morning of the market and you will be allocated your stall space by a volunteer when you arrive. Prior entry to the grounds is prohibited and no stalls may be set up before this time.
- Due to the limited site area, vehicles should be removed from the site where possible. If this is not possible, then the vehicle must be parked within the site space or another space must be paid for.
- For safety reasons, vehicles cannot be moved inside the hall grounds until the market finishes at 2.30pm and stalls must not be packed up before this time.
APPLICATION PROCESS
Applications close Friday 13 September 2024
- All applications returned by the closing date will be considered by the Committee.
- We are restricted by space to 150 sites.
- You will be notified if you have been successful in gaining a site by 27 September 2024.
- If you have been unsuccessful, your payment will be returned in full by 27 September 2024.
- There are no refunds for cancellations after 27 September 2024. The market will go ahead regardless of weather conditions.
