2024 Parent Workshop | Madhavi Nawana Parker re: 'Building Resilience and Wellbeing' (Reception to Year 3)

Event description

Dear Reception to Year 3 Parents and Carers,

We are delighted to welcome parenting expert Madhavi Nawana Parker to the College to work with teachers, parents and students in building resilience and wellbeing for our boys.

With a career spanning over two decades, Madhavi works with children, families, schools and individuals to promote positive wellbeing and teach resilience. Renowned author of ‘What’s the Buzz’ programme, ‘The Resilience and Wellbeing Toolkit’, ‘The Confident Minds Curriculum’ and ‘Archie’s Big Book of Friendship’, as well director of Positive Minds Australia, Madhavi is a wealth of knowledge and skills. Her passionate workshops are delivered with compassion, understanding and enthusiasm, to help parents and students build a toolkit for both now and the future.

On Wednesday 11 September, Madhavi will run a workshop for our Reception to Year 3 parents. The parent workshop will use contemporary research to give attendees an understanding of boys’ behaviour and the best ways to support them as they navigate the changing landscape of childhood. The workshop will support parents to have confidence in making educated and informed parenting decisions to support their sons’ development as thriving, resilient boys and young men.

Parents, please join us in ANZAC Hall from 6.00pm to 7.30pm for this one-off event.
Please book your attendance by Sunday 8 September.

Yours sincerely,

Mr Jon Gelsthorpe

Deputy Headmaster / Head of Preparatory School
