About GDHR: Growing and Developing Healthy Relationships (GDHR) is a long-standing educational curriculum and teaching resource funded by the Western Australian Department of Health (WA Health). The website is designed to support WA teachers, school nurses and schools to provide positive and comprehensive relationships and sexuality education. The GDHR Curriculum Support Materials have been available to all schools in WA since 2002 and available online since 2010. GDHR continues to be under constant improcement and update in line with WA and Australian curriculum development. The website has recently undergone a big update!

About this workshop: This workshop will launch the new and improved GDHR website. There will be a walk through of the new layout and functions that provide scaffolded lesson plans throughout primary and secondary to deliver a comprehensive whole school RSE program.  The workshop will showcase the new consent and RSE resources to help schools implement the new HPE curriculum. There will also be opportunity for participants to provide feedback on what they would like to see next from GDHR and Department of Health in this space.

About The RSE Project: Based at Curtin University, The RSE Project provides a range of professional development opportunities to Western Australian schools (K-12) in the area of relationships and sexuality education (RSE). Our training aligns with the Western Australian curriculum and is suitable for all school sectors. Our focus is on supporting teachers (both pre-service and in-service) to deliver RSE in schools. As we strongly advocate that schools embrace a whole-school approach to RSE, we are keen to also support school administrators, support staff, community health nurses and others who work in schools.
