2024 Science Extension 'Meet a Researcher' Online Networking Session

Join us for a week of USYD Science Extension events designed to jump-start your research journey!

Year 12 Science Extension students will have the opportunity to receive guidance on scientific research and project planning. In addition to the Science Extension Workshops, we’re offering an online information session on the USYD Science Extension Mentoring Program and an online 'Meet a Researcher' session.

Here’s what’s happening during Science Extension Intro Week:

• Monday, 4 Nov 2024: On-Campus Science Extension Workshop at the University of Sydney
• Wednesday, 6 Nov 2024: Online Science Extension Workshop via Zoom
• Thursday, 7 Nov 2024: Online Information Session on the USYD Science Extension Mentoring Program
• Friday, 8 Nov 2024: 'Meet a Researcher' Online Networking Session

About the Event

During the 'Meet a Researcher' session, you will:

• Engage in a live Q&A with researchers from the Faculties of Science, Medicine & Health, and Engineering.
• Discover what it’s like to work as a researcher in various fields of science, medicine and engineering.
• Gain insights into potential career paths, areas of research, and real-world applications of scientific research.
• Network with mentors, Science Extension alumni, and fellow Science Extension students as you explore research interests and opportunities

Zoom Format

Students can register for this event individually and join from their own devices to participate in the networking event.
