2024 Year 5 Father Daughter Bush Dance
Event description
Get your hands clapping and your toes tapping for the 2024 Year 5 Father Daughter Bush Dance!
Dads and daughters are warmly invited to an evening of fun and fancy footwork in the Junior School.
Thursday 19 September
6.30pm – 8.30pm
Everett Hall, Junior School
Costumes for both dads and daughters are encouraged
This event is free but please RSVP by Thursday 12 September for catering purposes only.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Whilst this event has been designed for Fathers and Daughters, we understand that this is not possible for all families. Daughters are more than welcome to bring along another father figure who is important to her such as a grandfather, uncle or special friend.
Supper for the Father Daughter Bush Dance
In the spirit of a community bush dance, we are asking each family to bring a (dinner size) plate of food, which is then shared as supper for everyone.
Plates are to be disposable, all ingredients are to be listed, and food should be ready to serve (does not require refrigeration or heating).
The food items have been divided into classes.
5G Each father/daughter to please provide a plate of savoury food.
5O Each father/daughter to please provide a plate of savoury food.
5L Each father/daughter to please provide a plate of sweet food.
5D Each father/daughter to please provide a plate of fruit.
In addition to this, all fathers and girls are asked to please bring their own water bottles, labelled with their name plus paper plates.
If a father or daughter has food allergies or sensitivities, please instead bring your own food that you can eat, clearly labelled with your name/s.
On the night
Please bring your plate on the night to the tables near Bundarra lawn before entering the Everett Hall through the Reception foyer.
In previous years, there has been plenty of food left over so please feel free to take home some goodies after the dance for a late snack or for lunchboxes the following day!
Fathers and daughters will need to arrive by 6.15pm to allow for a prompt start to the evening.
Photographer Anthony Khoury will be in the foyer at Everett Hall taking photos as bush dancers arrive, so fathers and daughters are encouraged to dress in costume for the evening.
