2024 Youth Work Conference and Awards
Event description
Last year over 300 people attended the sell-out two-day conference. We listened to the youth sector about what they wanted to hear more about in 2024 and arranged professional development sessions with a focus on:
- Youth work practice: examples of programs or service delivery models that demonstrate successful elements of work with young people or skills development workshops that assist youth sector professionals improve their youth work practice.
- Youth work research: research undertaken in relation to aspects of youth work practice that will be of benefit to the youth sector. Preference is given to research examples that highlight examples of collaboration between youth services and research institutions.
- Policy and advocacy: policy and advocacy undertaken in relation to improving outcomes for young people. Preference is given to examples that demonstrate co-design with young people and/or the youth sector.
- Organisational management: presentation or workshop topic of relevance to youth sector senior managers or Board member

Youth Action thanks our generous event partners Office of Regional Youth and Department of Communities and Justice, so we are able to provide travel assistance to a limited number of people to attend.
Subsidy options include:
- Subsidised chartered coach with pick-up locations in Sydney and Western Sydney. Ticket cost for this is $100 return. Pick-up locations in Penrith, Paramatta and Sydney Central.

- Day 2: 1st November, from 9.30am to 2.30pm
