Zonta Clubs around the world unite for 16 Days of Activism from the 25th of November to the 10th of December each year, to highlight the Zonta International Campaign to eliminate gender-based violence. The 25th November is the United Nations Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women and the 10th December is the United Nations Day for Human Rights.
In the lead up to and during the 16 days of activism, Zonta Bundaberg will take to the streets of their neighbourhoods and the wider Bundaberg community organising a wide range of “orange” events. Keep an eye on the Zonta Bundaberg Facebook and Instagram pages for more information
Zonta International envisions a world in which women’s rights are recognised as human rights and every woman is able achieve her full potential.
In such a world, women have access to all resources and are represented in decision making positions on an equal basis with men.
In such a world, no woman lives in fear of violence.
