Welcome to Aspire’s Song Competiton Finalist Showcase. The Aspire Song Competition is in its twelfth year and is open to all students in the Diocese of Maitland-Newcastle. Aspire’s 2025 production centres around Emotions, Rebellion and Artwork. Songwriters were invited to compose a song about either of these themes.

ASPIRE is an initiative of the Maitland Newcastle Catholic Schools.
With an emphasis on fostering creativity, ASPIRE has many programs on offer. These programs include in-school workshops, design and production support, professional development for staff, and specialty projects in areas such as song writing, scriptwriting, devising theatre, and choreography. ASPIRE also produces original theatrical performances annually. Students audition to be part of either the design, vocal, dance, instrumental or production ensembles.
