2025 Australian National Spearfishing Championships
Event description
Once more the Australian Underwater Federation’s National Spearfishing Championships are returning to the water of New South Wales for 2025. The Newcastle Neptune’s are proud to be hosting 70th AUF Spearfishing Nationals and all spearfishers are invited to contest the competition which is to be held in the Hunter region, approximately 2.5 hours North of Sydney. Being held out of Port Stephens with competition zones from Port Stephens south to Norah head competitors are offered access to a vast array of inshore reef holding abundant and diverse fish life.
The Australian National Spearfishing Championships will be a pairs competition held in the traditional swim off format with a series of exciting categories, that will test your abilities as a spearo. Whether you're a seasoned competitor or a newcomer looking to embrace the thrill of spearfishing at a national level, this promises to be an unforgettable event that celebrates the art and passion of spearfishing while exploring the waters of the Hunter region.
