Event description

The Big Sky Summer Shootout Presented by Second Season is a full on visual celebration of Big Sky’s community and mountain culture. Please join us on Friday, August 15th 2025 at The Big Sky Waypoint. There will be three showings at 5 PM, 6:30 PM and 8 PM. Tickets include festival admission to view select film/photo submissions, a chance to vote for the Live People's Choice Awards, a FREE Second Season Pass, and entered for a chance to win door prizes.

This is the 2nd year we are extending the Shootout to the Summer season and we could't be more excited. New this season is an expanded format for Shootout submissions. Short mountain films and photography can be submitted. The window for shooting will run from June 1st-August 1st. Film submissions 30 seconds-5 minutes in length. Photo submissions can be 1-5 images. All submissions need to be received by August 1st by midnight*.
