2025 Beef and Burgundy Night

The MLC Parents' Association Beef and Burgundy nights are an excellent opportunity for MLC fathers and father figures to come together and enjoy each other's company, in a relaxed social setting.

At our August BnB night, we will be hearing from Associate Professor Justin Mariani, PHD.

A/Prof Justin Mariani is a Melbourne-based cardiologist with over 20 years of experience, specialising in heart failure, pacemakers, and advanced cardiac care. He did his Cardiology training at the Alfred Hospital, and further sub-speciality training in Canada, and currently leads the Pacing Service at The Alfred Hospital.   He is part of the Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant service and also works in private practice across Melbourne and East Gippsland.

Justin has a strong focus on identifying and managing cardiovascular risk—especially in men over 40, where multiple risk factors often start to collide. His work balances the science of precision cardiac care with practical lifestyle advice tailored to the individual. It’s not about scare tactics, but about giving men the tools to understand their own risk, make smarter choices, and maintain a healthy life without giving up everything that makes it enjoyable.
