2025 ChessPalace Scholastic Tournament
Event description
ChessPalace is hosting a Scholastic chess tournament for players in K-12th Grade
Open to students in Kindergarten to 12th grade only. US Chess Federation membership is required and can register for it onsite.
Details on this outdoor chess tournament:
Sections (*subject to change depending on the number of players)
- K-12th grade Open section
- K-8th grade Under 1100
- K-6th grade rated Under 800
- K-3rd grade Under 400
Check-in between 9:30-9:45 AM and Round 1 starts at 10 AM with awards estimated at around 3:00/3:30 pm. There will be 4-5 rounds depending on time availability.
Time control: Game 30 minutes, delay 5 seconds
Awards: Top 5 trophies awarded in each section
Entry Fee: $40+Humanitix fees ($50 onsite); Limited seats available, please sign up early.
Please note that there is a new venue at 6803 International Ave. Unit 206, Cypress, CA 90630
We recommend bringing a light sweater in case it gets cold as venue is indoors with AC. Please bring your own snacks, lunch, and water bottles.
